Strange silence of brash Angela
“NO MORE revolving door between ministerial office and lobbying jobs.”
These were the blunt words of Angela Rayner in 2021.

While in opposition, the Deputy PM was swift to accuse the Tories of corruption.
In a speech she said: “Transparency was the key and sunlight the best disinfectant.”
But now she is in power, matters look decidedly more murky.
As we reveal today, her partner Sam Tarry , a former MP and shadow minister, has been quietly working for a lobbying firm whose clients include councils and local government groups.
These bodies are ultimately controlled by the Deputy PM in her role as Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
One of the firm’s clients was given a £280,000 grant from Ms Rayner’s department last year.
The firm and the Deputy PM insist there is no conflict of interest, but the boss of the company praises her as “orchestrating proceedings and calling the plays”.
The whole thing stinks — just like claims that she reduced stamp duty on her £800,000 Hove flat, which we revealed last week.
This is a politician who is a heartbeat away from 10 Downing Street .
Can you imagine her outrage if a senior Tory Cabinet member had behaved the same way?
Ms Rayner now faces calls for a parliamentary probe into her property deals.
Yet the politician who forged her reputation by savaging sleaze has remained strangely silent.
Instead she has relied upon anonymous briefings and opaque statements about relevant requirements.
The Deputy PM made her name as a blunt-speaking politician.
She now needs to rediscover her voice and level with the public.
