STRICTLY Come Dancing legend Arlene Phillips dropped a glitterball-sized bombshell about who won’t be taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
Following the shock announcement that the beloved presenting duo , speculation has been rife about who could possibly fill their shoes.

Bookies have been quick to float names from former contestants and professional dancers like and her husband Aljaž Škorjanec, and Oti Mabuse, to TV favourites such as Alison Hammond, Zoe Ball,and Alan Carr.
But former judge Arlene has now revealed that the new presenters won’t have dance experience, effectively ruling out fan favourite married couple
Arlene explained: “Tess and Claudia have been magical together and without doubt many wonderful hosts individually would be fabulous to take their place.
“It’s finding the perfect united team which I think will be hard.
“I know a huge number of judges were considered when searching for the original judging panel and I can imagine this will be the same
“What is so lovely is that the hosts don’t come from the dance world, they’re not judging the technique, just interacting warmly and supporting — and that’s what all of the contestants and performers need.”
The former judge also paid tribute to sharing fond memories of their time together on the hit BBC show.
She wrote: “I totally loved working with both of them and have many happy memories, Claudia on It Takes Two and Tess from the very start when we were all trying to figure it out together, having no idea whatsoever the show would become what it is today.”
Arlene added that she wasn’t surprised the duo decided to step away from the series. “I have to say I’m not surprised they have chosen to move on, I can imagine the pressure that seems to be engulfing the show is immense.
“It’s such an enormous show and almost everything seems to cause a controversy in one way or another.”
Despite Arlene’s insider comments, fans are still holding out hope for certain favourites.
One fan replied: “I think Alan Carr and Miranda Hart would be marvellous.”
Another said: “Anton and Zoe Ball for me.”
A third added: “Holly Willoughby & Fearne Cotton.”
And one more chimed in: “Hannah Waddingham and Anton for me.”
