London fashion stylist Twinks, 36, who describes herself as a ‘professional party starter,’ had unintentionally put her foot in it after her innocuous comment about his muscular physique left him questioning his appearance.

Defined as a mental disorder, body dysmorphia is typically characterised by an often delusional and highly negative perception of one’s physical appearance.

“I feel weird, I don’t really speak about this,” Lynx told her, while fighting back tears. “I feel like I’m about to cry, I’m sorry.

“I’ve spoken about having body dysmorphia before, but I’d never really spoken about how it’s so intense, so intense.

“I didn’t expect to get so out of shape in here, and I was just like, I’ll treat it just like I’m bulking to make it make sense in my head, because it makes no sense in my head. I’m so strict at what I do.”

Hapless Twinks inadvertently sparked the incident by describing Lynx’s physique as ‘thick’ during a conversation with the wider house.

The property developer was visibly distressed during his private conversation with Twinks on Monday evening’s show

With Lynx visibly uncomfortable, the remark – offered as a positive view of his muscular body – led to a furious debate among housemates and viewers alike regarding her intention.

Taking to Reddit, one fan commented: “People have this crazy standards for people on reality tv. All of us have accidentally put our foot in it and said the wrong thing without meaning. People are acting like Twinks purposefully called him derogatory names.

“It was a miscommunication and hit a nerve for Lynx. He handled it well by speaking with her (rather than gossiping). I also appreciated that he let others know that Twinks didn’t say anything malicious.”

A second added: “She definitely was not trying to be malicious.

“However I do think one should be careful about making comments about others bodies even if it’s in a ‘positive’ way, and twinks does do this a lot.

“She’s obviously got a lot of body confidence and she’s likely surrounded by a lot of other people who do as well in her day to day life, which is great.

“But if you go around normal young people calling them ‘thick’ or ‘svelte’ or whatever else you’re going to eventually say it to somebody who has their own sh*t they’re dealing with when it comes to body image and doesn’t appreciate people commenting on them in that way.”

To date, Big Brother 2026 is the most complained about of the three ITV series’ so far – with more than 8,000 people issuing complaints.
