Is Spotify down?

According to DownDetector , which monitors outages for major websites and platforms, it had received 9,352 outage reports from users as of 6:53pm BST.

Spotify confirmed the outage in a post on X, posting: “We’re aware of some issues right now with the app and are checking them out!”

However, no exact timing has been given for when users can expect things to be fixed.

It comes after another outage saw with the search bar function on the app last month.

According to Downdetector , 73 per cent of reports related to the app in general, with 14 per cent linked to audio streaming and 11 per cent tied to server connection.

Issues appeared to start around 1:18pm on April 21, with reports reaching 1,064 within 30 minutes.

That search bar issue appeared to be impacting Spotify users outside of the UK too, with music fans in France and Turkey also sharing issues on social media.

“Don’t worry, it’s global,” one X user posted at the time.
