ACTRESS Sophie Turner has injured her back on the set of the new Amazon Prime Lara Croft TV show — ­forcing the £100million production to shut down.

The cast and crew have been put on hiatus for at least a month, with some fearing it could be up to six months as , 30, recuperates.

The Brit, who found fame on as Sansa Stark, started work on the action show in January.

Bosses believe it would be tough to replace her with another actress as much of it has already been filmed.

She discovered she had a back issue during training last year and has further triggered it with long hours of physical filming at Shepperton Studios in .

A source said: “It’s been chaos on set and now the whole show is in jeopardy.

“Sophie has been throwing herself into the role, but the ­ has meant she has pushed her body too far.

“Many on set fear Sophie may have to be replaced altogether now, as she may not bounce back in time.

“It’s been a hugely physical role and pushed her to the limit.

“But so much has already been shot that it’s causing a real headache for producers.”

The mum-of-two is following in the footsteps of and , who both played the hotpants-wearing archaeologist in the video game adaptations.

creator , 40, has written and produced the show, which also stars Sigourney Weaver, 76, and Jason Isaacs. 62.

The insider added: “Phoebe has been hands-on with the production. Crew were surprised how regularly she was on set giving direction.”

Sophie previously told how she spent a year transforming her body for the role with a personal trainer, but discovered a back problem.

She said: “I’ve learned I have a perpetual back problem. It’s taken me months to get into good shape.

“We’ve been doing eight hours of training a day, five days a week since February last year.” Sophie’s spokesperson was approached for comment.
