LOVE Is Blind UK’s new series has delivered its first seriously awkward dating disaster after contestant Jack suffered the ultimate pod mix-up.

The hapless singleton was left red-faced after forgetting one woman’s name and then confusing her with another, making not one but two toe-curling blunders in the first batch of episodes.

The first mishap came as he told date Ciara that, although he thought the world of her, he was unsure whether they were compatible “husband and wife-wise”.

Explaining that he had formed a stronger connection with another woman, he said: “Despite how much we get along, I do think I might be better matched with… I’m better suited to… Fran.”

Realising his mistake, Jack quickly corrected himself, saying: “I mean Faye!”

But it was too late, with a bemused Ciara snapping back: “Fran?! Jack, you can’t even get her name right, it’s Faye!”

Ciara told him: “You’ve been saying that I’m your number one, and I haven’t said this to any of the girls because I didn’t want Faye to hear that.

“I think you really need to think about what you want.”

Jack then inadvertently doubled down on his embarrassing mistake in Episode 3 when he greeted Faye in the pods by asking: “How are we? Still got red nails?”

But Faye pointed out: “I never had red nails. That was Ciara!”

His mix-ups left both Ciara and Faye stunned as they were forced to correct him during their dates.
