SIR ALEX FERGUSON has been spotted for the first time since his health scare.

The legendary manager had not been seen before the club’s win over Liverpool in May.

Ferguson could be seen in good spirits in the picture with football fan Vimal Devassy, who posted the picture.

“I’m not the biggest Manchester United fan, but my admiration for Sir and the special relationship he built with Ronaldo has always inspired me.

“A moment I’ll never forget. Thank you, Sir Alex.”

Ferguson was meant to appear at the LMA awards on May 27 but was still on the mend.

This was confirmed by the chief executive Richard Bevan although the retired manager still sent a tribute to .

The legend had been named the League Managers Association’s manager of the year for getting Coventry back to the Premier League.

The tribute was read by manager who sent his own kind words to wish Ferguson well.

He said: “It is of course, not the same without Sir Alex himself and we wish him all the best and a speedy recovery so that he is hopefully with us next year on stage again.

“Until then I have the privilege to read this letter to you, Frank. Dear Frank, many congratulations on being named LMA manager of the year.

“You should be very proud of what you and your team have accomplished.

“Your personality as a manager and a leader is so clearly defined in how your team has played great this season – with confidence and self-belief and I have enjoyed watching you.

“I know from speaking with you that you have great humility and that important quality of a curious mind for learning.

“I’m sure winning this award will mean a great deal to you, Frank, and I wish you the best of luck in the Premier League next season.”
