A HEARTBROKEN mother has paid a moving tribute to her son after his body was found in a seaside resort.
Cops made the discovery of Lee Butler, 36, after a major search in the Ogmore-by-Sea area of South Wales.
He had been reported missing after last being seen at his Staffordshire home on May 26.
Officers launched an urgent hunt for Lee and appealed for information as concerns grew for his welfare.
But South Wales Police has now confirmed a body had been found after a week-long search.
While formal identification has yet to take place, Lee’s family have been informed.
A force spokesman said: “A body has been found in the search for Lee Butler, from Staffordshire, who was last seen on Tuesday, May 26.
“While formal identification has not yet taken place, Lee’s next of kin have been informed.
“Our thoughts are with them.”
Lee’s devastated mum Sharon shared has an emotional tribute.
She wrote: “There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing you.
“As your mother, I loved you from the moment you came into this world, and I will love you for every moment after you’ve gone.
“Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever my son.”
