Popular Nollywood comic actor Olatayo Amokade, commonly referred to as Ijebu, has urged Big Brother Naija season 10 winner, Imisi, to resolve the ongoing social media conflict with her mother.
The actor expressed his thoughts in a video posted on his Instagram page, addressing Imisi on Sunday evening.
According to DAILY POST, Imisi and her mother have been embroiled in a public disagreement since she won the N150 million BBNaija grand prize.
It is worth noting that Imisi shared her traumatic childhood experiences on the reality show, revealing that she had an abortion at age 13 after being raped twice at the age of 12.
“My father kicked me out of the house when I was just 11 years old. I began selling fufu with my grandmother until her place was destroyed by fire. Things became incredibly challenging for me,” Imisi recounted to a fellow contestant, Kola.
Weeks after her victory, Imisi's mother appeared in a viral video, claiming that she had been abandoned.
Questioning the timing of her mother’s grievances, Imisi highlighted their strained relationship even before her rise to fame, pointing out her mother’s absence during her difficult times.
“Before I won BBNaija, I was living my life, and you wouldn't even call me for one or two years, so why is there an issue now?” she questioned.
“God knows I made an effort. I even sent you money last week and four days ago. Should I end my life over this? You cannot take even N1 out of the money I won for anyone's comfort. I have 100 family members relying on me alone,” she expressed on her Instagram page.
In response to the ongoing online feud, actor Ijebu encouraged Imisi to reconcile with her mother and seek forgiveness.
He emphasized that her mother is her “mini god.” Ijebu stated, “Imisi, I know you are a good person. The Bible says we should honor our parents. This evening or tomorrow morning, I want you to visit your mother, go on your knees, hold her legs, and tell her you are sorry. Let her pray for you. No matter what she may have done, she is still your mini god on earth. After this, I don’t want to hear any more disputes online. If I hear anything again, I will be very upset with you.”
