Saudi League: Why Ronaldo missed clash against Al-Taawoun – Al-Nassr coach, Stefano Pioli

Al-Nassr manager, Stefano Pioli has explained why captain, Cristiano Ronaldo missed his side Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Taawoun on Friday.

Ronaldo was absent as Al-Nassr played a 1-1 draw against Al-Taawoun athome.

Goals from Otávio and R. Martínez ensured both teams got a point each at Al -Awwal Park.

Speaking to the media after the match,Pioli said the Portugal forward missed Al-Nassr’s latest game because of a cold.

“Ronaldo is absent because he is suffering from a cold,”;; Pioli said.

Al-Nassr currently sit in the 4th position on the Saudi Pro League with 64 points from 32 games.

Knights of Najd had already missed out of winning the League title as Al-Ittihad were recently crowned champions.

Al-Nassr’s next game is on Wednesday against Al-Khaleej.
