SIR Sadiq Khan has provoked fury by blocking a £50million deal between cops and a US tech firm.

Its services are used by the US President’s controversial ICE team.

Sir Sadiq has previously said that Londoners only want public funds given to firms that “share the values of our city”.

But Louis Mosley, the boss of Palantir UK, claimed that he was “putting over public safety”.

Mr Mosley also seemed to compare Palantir’s values to the case of , who was raped and murdered by serving Met cop Wayne Couzens.

The Palantir boss told Times Radio: “I think what Londoners value is not being mugged, not being raped by a serving officer.”

The Met faces a £125million funding shortfall and says without the new technology it will have to make job cuts.

A spokesman for the Met said that the decision was “disappointing”.

They added: “We need to modernise and use the very best technology available. We must be able to innovate at a faster rate than hostile states and organised criminals.

“For now, this decision prevents us using already available to the MoD, the and other police forces.”
