RYAN Thomas has disclosed that his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh left during an extravagant champagne date night in his latest relationship revelation.
The former actor shared that, despite their luxurious setting in an upscale hotel, the “energy was completely off” and a disagreement was “brewing.”

He spoke candidly with his brothers Adam and Scott on their joint podcast about the date night mishap – despite his efforts to organize a memorable evening.
At 41, he explained that he had meticulously planned a hotel stay and dinner, but warned: “We arrived at the hotel, which had a lovely room, and went to dine at this beautiful new restaurant overlooking all of Manchester.”
“But gradually, I started to sense tension building.”
“Every time a topic came up, it turned into a debate instead of a conversation; you could just feel that the energy was all wrong.”
He recounted how Lucy, 34, the mother of his two youngest children, left the restaurant while wearing her coat.
Ryan, known for his role as Jason Grimshaw on the soap opera, added: “I thought she had gone to the restroom; ten minutes passed, then fifteen, and before I knew it, half an hour had gone by!”
“So, I texted her saying, ‘Long toilet break.’”
“I called her, but the call dropped. I tried again, and it dropped again, and then I realized, okay, she’s not coming back.”
Ryan then retreated to their hotel room where a bottle of champagne awaited him and decided to enjoy a glass alone.
He did not disclose the cause of the argument or where Lucy had gone, but assured that all is now well between the couple.
Ryan had proposed during a romantic trip to Italy back in 2019.
He popped the question in the picturesque Italian resort of Positano after two years of dating.
Parenting Issues

However, his parenting skills have come under scrutiny after he allowed his eldest daughter Scarlett to skip her GCSEs to pursue her passion for singing.

Scarlett informed her followers this summer that she wouldn’t be collecting her results as she did not participate in the assessments.
In a short video shared on social media, she posed in front of the camera showcasing her flawless makeup.
She captioned it: “I’m watching everyone receive their GCSE results today, wondering if I could have achieved good results, but I will always wonder.”
Some fans expressed divided opinions, suggesting that the young star should have completed her GCSEs regardless of her burgeoning acting career.
However, Ryan quickly defended his parenting stance, commenting: “Is it really anyone's business or concern?”
