RYAN REYNOLDS and Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney appeared to take a swipe at a Chelsea star while commentating on Sky Sports on Friday.

But clearly the pair were not over their meeting with from the weekend prior, as they slipped in a jab at the West Londoners.

In particular they hinted that they were not pleased with a certain player’s theatrics on the pitch.

A player described as having frosted tips was referenced by the pair for “selling” a dive in the match.

That lines up with Chelsea winger , who suffered a challenge from Wrexham’s George Dobson at 2-2 that saw the midfielder sent off.

Dobson was initially handed a yellow card for the woeful tackle, which left Garnacho rolling on the floor, but upgraded that to a red after a brief check.

said on the broadcast: “I am gonna host a clinic with Rob soon on flopping (diving), you have to sell it, you really have to sell it – real tears.”

chimed in: “It’s the one area where we might be able to help.

“I would say there were a couple of players last week (against Chelsea) that were selling it pretty well.”

Reynolds then joked: “Yeah, the guy with the compound fracture, he sold it.”

His co-owner added “And the frosted tips?” to which Reynolds agreed: “Oh yes, my gosh, the frosted tips.”

Wrexham managed to see out the 90 minutes with ten men, but had fallen to a 4-2 defeat by the end of extra-time, and apparently were still harbouring some bitter feelings over the result.

The thinly-veiled digs clearly made Sky presenter David Prutton nervous, and he intervened to try and head off the increasingly accusatory rant.

He awkwardly added: “I suppose, as ever, this type of opinion is subjective.”

To which Reynolds wrapped up the comments by joking: “Everything we say is not subjective, it’s nonsense.”

Wrexham went on to win the Welsh derby 2-0, with the Hollywood owners going wild in the booth live on .

, with some hailing it as innovative, while others labelled it self-indulgent and even “nauseating”.
