The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Benibo Anabraba, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to DAILY POST, Anabraba had previously resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday morning but did not immediately reveal his new political affiliation.
A statement from Juliana Masi, Head of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the SSG, confirmed that Anabraba has successfully completed his registration as a member of the APC.
The statement noted, “Dr. Anabraba registered his membership on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Ward 1, Unit 1, Bob-Manuel’s Compound, Abonnema, Akuku Toru LGA of the State.”
“The SSG stated that this registration officially verifies his status as a party member and allows him to actively engage in all APC activities. Most importantly, it enables him to support His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, in his Rivers First mission and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.”
Masi quoted Anabraba as saying that a strong partnership between Rivers State and the Federal Government “is sure to yield greater benefits for the welfare of the people.”
