Garnacho spoke ahead of Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Atalanta on Tuesday.
During Chelsea’s pre-match press conference, Garnacho emphasized that the Blues were the “right club” for him, claiming the move was “an easy decision.”
The following morning, Ferdinand echoed this sentiment on his podcast at United.
Scholes mentioned that Mainoo should leave his childhood club after feeling sidelined by the manager.
After advising Mainoo to “not waste his career,” Ferdinand was quickly drawn to Garnacho’s difficulties with Amorim.
The six-time Premier League champion remarked on Rio Ferdinand Presents: “Can we just talk about Garnacho? Because we have him on air.
“Garnacho was interviewed the other day. It was during the press conference, wasn’t it?
“He mentioned that it was an easy decision to leave United, stating that the manager trusts him here. Some United fans might react negatively, saying, ‘You cheeky little...’
“But as a footballer, if you feel the manager doesn’t trust you, I’ve been there before.
“At first, I wasn’t sure if [Fabio] Capello trusted me. If that’s the case, you won’t see my best performances. Do you understand what I mean?
“No, Steve McLaren completely trusted me, and while I’m not sure about their feelings, I had a sense of trust. Once that feeling is lost, I can’t perform at my best for England.

He secured a contract until 2032 and has made 15 appearances across all competitions for Enzo Maresca’s team this season.
Ferdinand noted that he could understand why Garnacho chose to leave the Red Devils following a breakdown in his relationship with the manager last season.
The former defender stated: “I can’t change and play for Scotland, Wales, or anywhere else,” he added.
“I’m committed to England because you can’t change that badge.”
“But at the club level, if the manager doesn’t trust me, I’m thinking, ‘Well, we both shouldn’t be here because it’s going to lead to conflict, and you won’t get the best out of me, nor will I fulfill your expectations.’
“So, you have to move on, and Garnacho made a decision that was best for him. Sometimes, that’s necessary.”
Amorim has not explicitly stated that he lacks trust in Mainoo, but it’s clear the academy graduate is currently very low in the pecking order after rising under Erik ten Hag.
Mainoo received 12 minutes off the bench in the 4-1 victory against Wolves on Monday night but has yet to start a Premier League match this season.
