The station had earlier approached her on the platform wearing a high-vis vest and asked where she was travelling to.

Offering to help, he walked the victim to the platform her train was due to arrive at before heading into the office at the station.

A short while later the predatory thug asked her into the office, suggesting it was a warm place to go while she waited for her train.

But as she approached, he turned the room’s lights off, and carried out a “deplorable” once she was inside.

The victim managed to get away from him and return to the platform to board her train.

Aamar then emerged from the office and chillingly ‘waved her off’ as the service left the station.

The victim, who suffered bruising from the attack, reported Aamar’s actions to her family who called the .

Aamar was arrested later that evening on November 14, 2021 and charged with two counts of sexual assault.

He failed to appear for a subsequent hearing and body-cam footage captured the moment he was rearrested at his home in March 2023.

Aamar, of Sandwell, West Mids., was found guilty following a week-long trial at .

He was jailed for three years and eight months on January 12.

He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and will be on the sex offenders register for life.

Prosecutor Holly Sims had told the court during the trial: “He said, ‘do you want to go inside as you look cold’.

“She decided to go to the room. She thought it was a waiting room. She said she trusted the defendant as a person in authority.”

In a police interview played to the trial, the teenage victim described the what happened after the assault.

She said: “I was on the train and I saw him wave. I didn’t do anything back.”

Detective Constable Tim Friend, of , said: “Aamar Mohammed used his trusted position as a station security guard to prey on a teenage girl and subject her to a deplorable sexual assault.

“His attack was so forceful that it left the victim with physical injuries, and will no doubt have a lasting impact on her psychologically.

“It is down to her bravery in reporting him to police, and determination to stick with the process as it progressed through the courts, that we have been able to bring a truly vile man to justice.

“We will stop at nothing to ensure sexual predators like Mohammed are removed from our communities and put behind bars where they belong.”
