RACHEL Reeves has been accused of cosying up to the EU in a new threat to Brexit.
The Chancellor risks a major backlash by saying one of her “big choices” for boosting growth is closer ties to Brussels.

Today she will say a deeper relationship with the bloc will help turn around the sluggish economy.
Ms Reeves will also say growth will be unlocked by taking a lead in and ensuring UK regions thrive.
But Shadow Chancellor Sir hit back, saying: “Labour are desperate to blame anyone but themselves for their economic failures.
“Reeves would rather point the finger at than accept their poor choices have been a disaster for our economy.”
, Reform UK’s Treasury spokesman, said: “Tying us closer to EU bureaucracy will hold us back.
“The UK has a golden opportunity to move faster than Brussels to create well-paid for British workers.
“But Reeves seems determined to give it up.”
The Chancellor will use a speech in the City of London to say that closer ties will help Britain in the decade to come.
Last week, she said in an interview with The Times that the UK “should absolutely align” with the EU if required to improve trade.

But negotiations come as the economy recorded zero growth in January — even before the kicked off.
Ms Reeves will say today: “I am making three big choices on the greatest opportunities in the decade to come: growth in every part of Britain; AI and innovation; and a deeper relationship with the EU.”
She is also pushing for Britain to “lead the quantum revolution” by investing £2.5billion in advanced computing.
