RUSSIA has torpedoed the latest Trump-backed bid to end the Ukraine war, issuing a furious rebuke amid fears of a “significant air attack” on Kyiv.
Mad Vlad’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed the US-European proposal to give Ukraine security guarantees amounts to “a true axis of war” rather than a concerted path to peace.

Moscow dealt the blow after being humiliated by the US Navy’s seizure of one of its tankers and the news that Trump has green-lit a bill that will punish countries buying Russian oil.
In a sharp statement on Thursday, the ministry said: “The document turned out to be extremely far from a peace settlement.
“The declaration is not aimed at achieving lasting peace and security but rather at continuing the militarisation, escalation and further conflict aggravation.
“Its core element is the deployment of ‘a multinational force’ on Ukrainian territory that the coalition will have to form to contribute to the ‘rebuilding’ of the Ukrainian armed forces and ‘support deterrence’ following the cessation of the hostilities.”
In the wake of the blistering rejection, the US embassy issued a terse warning to its citizens in Kyiv.
It said they should “prepare to shelter immediately” as a “significant air attack may occur at any time in the next several days”.
The distressing alert follows the sighting of an , adding to anxiety over the mystery air strike.
The is touted as being fast and powerful enough to evade any Western missile defence and hit targets anywhere in Europe.
Its presence sits in stark contrast to Tuesday’s positive peace talks in Paris where Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and signed a five-point deal with European leaders.
The pair then reportedly met with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev to discuss the plan before the Kremlin’s scathing rebuke.
It promises beefed-up “security guarantees” for Ukraine if Kyiv agrees terms to end Russia’s nearly four-year invasion.
It includes pledges of “critical long-term military assistance,” a “European-led” multinational peacekeeping force, more weapons and sanctions in the “case of a future armed attack by Russia,” plus “mutually beneficial defence cooperation with Ukraine.”
But if Ukraine rejects the five-point security package, a condition Kyiv has demanded, the wider 20-point peace plan could collapse completely.
Russia also slammed Trump’s Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List program, known as PURL, which lets European nations buy US weapons to arm Ukraine.
“The document also includes clauses on further consolidation of Ukraine’s and NATO’s military industrial sectors,” the ministry said.
The move is a major setback for Trump’s attempt to build a post-war shield for Ukraine using NATO-style protections.
Moscow claims the plan locks in Western power while leaving Russia vulnerable, even though Ukraine would stay officially outside Nato.
It said: “The new militarist declarations of the so-called Coalition of the Willing and the Kyiv regime are forming a true axis of war.

“Its participants’ plans are becoming increasingly more dangerous and destructive for the future of the European continent and its residents, who are also forced by Western politicians to pay for such ambitions out of their own pockets.”
Trump is meanwhile increasing his squeeze on Moscow by signing off on fresh sanction for countries who help fund Putin’s war by buying cheap Russian oil.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham cited China, India and Brazil as the biggest offenders.
It risks escalating tensions once again after , with Putin warmonger Aleksey Zhuravlyov threatening nuclear action over the act of “piracy”.
Originally named Bella 1, the ship had set sail from Iran and tried unsuccessfully to break Trump’s blockade of Venezuela last month.
Zhuravlyov said: “There is no doubt that we must respond firmly and swiftly — our military doctrine even envisages the use of nuclear weapons in response to such an attack.”
Dmitry Medvedev, ex-Kremlin president and deputy head of the Kremlin’s security council, issued another chilling warning to Trump after the raid.
He posted an image celebrating the Orthodox Christmas Day with the caption: “Don’t play games with Russia.”
A defiant Hegseth has since said the US will not stop seizing illegal ships in the Atlantic until the waters are safe.
