Sangare, who has participated in 13 matches this season, acknowledged that he was behind the wheel of his £200,000 silver G63 when he violated the law.

The player was less than a mile from Forest’s academy ground and is believed to have been en route to a training session when he was caught on the B769 at 11:33 am.

He pleaded guilty through the Single Justice Procedure, which allowed him to avoid attending a sentencing session on December 16.

The athlete, currently away with the team, is thought to have already accumulated nine points on his license prior to this incident.

This latest offense brought his total to 12 points, resulting in a mandatory ban, which magistrates set at 12 months.

Documents obtained by The Sun indicate that Sangare was offered the option of a speed awareness course but chose not to participate.

As a result, he has been banned from driving for 12 months and is required to pay a fine of £220, along with costs of £120 and a surcharge of £88.

Sangare has been a pivotal player for Forest since the previous manager was replaced in October.
