Peter Obi: I don’t know what gave you audacity – Aisha Yesufu slams Okpebolo

A social critic and advocate of good governance, Aisha Yesufu, has attacked Edo State Governor Monday Okpebolo over his warning to Mr Peter Obi not to visit the state without his permission.

Aisha questioned what gave Okpebholo the audacity to say he can actually give security clearance for any Nigerian to be able to visit Edo State.

She stated this while fielding questions on Channels Television’s Breakfast Show programme on Monday.

DAILY POST recalls that to risk visiting the Edo without his approval.

Okpebholo outrightly declared that Obi’s security may not be guaranteed if he comes into the state next time without approval.

However, Aisha said Edo State is not the governor’s family estate.

Aisha said: “He said it very clearly, and he said it very loud. He said your security will not be guaranteed if you come in anything that happens to you, you know it’s on you so and that’s a threat to his life. Beyond that also is the fact that the Edo state government also came out with a statement where they said that he wasn’t threatening him, but he needs to tell him when he’s coming and also get security clearance.

“I don’t know what gave governor the audacity that he can actually give security clearance for any Nigerian to be able to come to Edo state. Edo state is not his family estate.

“He currently might be the one who, who is governing the state, but he doesn’t have the right to give anybody clearance for them to be anywhere.”
