Tragedy as body found in search for missing mum Rachel Booth who disappeared after 3.50am shop trip and 45-minute run

A BODY has been found in a major search for a missing mum who vanished in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police in their search for Rachel Booth, 38, who was last spotted in a convenience store at 3.50am.

She was last seen at Sandiway Garage, Cheshire

Rachel was in the Northwich area of Cheshire.

She had entered the Shell garage on the A556, shortly before vanishing.

Her disappearance baffled police, who have now confirmed that a body has been found in the search for Rachel.

Whilst formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Rachel.

Her family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

They have requested privacy at this time.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Missing Rachel has been described as being 5ft 9in tall, of a slim build as having blonde hair.

At the time of her disappearance, police believe she was wearing black leggings and a black top.

Previously in the search, cops were spotted at the Wild Shore Delamere water sports park in Northwich.

The force had deployed sniffer dogs in a bid to find the missing 38-year-old.

Divers and specialist underwater search teams were also seen at the holiday park, which has been forced to close.

At the time, Paul Hughes said: “We are currently following a number of enquiries to trace Rachel and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.”

“Investigators are following all lines of enquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us.

“The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts.”

A spokesperson for the Wild Shore Delamare water sports park added: “Due to ongoing police investigations in the surrounding area, Wildshore Delamere will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday, July 20th.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

“This incident is unrelated to Wild Shore - however, we wish to help as much as possible - so we will be closing the site until further notice.

“if your booking is affected by this closure, please contact our customer service team. We’ll be happy to arrange a refund or reschedule your session for a later date.

“Thank you for understanding.”

A member of staff at Sandiway Garage told The Sun that Rachel, a mum-of-three, had bought milk and before disappearing.

Issac Carolan, 19, said: “I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning.

“She bought milk and and jogged 45 minutes away.

Isaac added: “But it didn’t seem weird, she didn’t seem disturbed or flustered.”
