BRITAIN’S Trade Secretary has criticized Donald Trump for “having a bee in his bonnet” following the US President’s surprising attack on “weak” Europe.
The Labour party responded to the remarkable tirade that accused European leaders of being ineffective.

After stating to Politico that Europe is “decaying”, the Labour Cabinet minister suggested that President Trump “views the world differently from his predecessors, which is not new.”
Mr. Kyle attempted to downplay the attack, adding: “I’m not certain whether he’s including Britain in that assessment.”
He mentioned on Harry Cole Saves the West: “Let’s not forget that when he visited recently, he brought £150 billion worth of trade with him. America is demonstrating its commitment through investment in Britain at this time.
“They are investing significantly in Britain, particularly in AI and various sectors across the UK. This isn’t just money flowing into London.
“The Bank of America is investing in Northern Ireland. We have data centers being constructed in Blyth in the north-east of England.
“There are multi-billion pound investments happening across the UK. This signifies America’s strong commitment to Britain as it stands today.”
While in Washington DC during an official visit, Mr. Kyle continued: “President Trump has long held a particular viewpoint about Europe and the world in general. He perceives the world differently from his predecessors, which is not a new revelation.”
He argued that the level of investment from America into the UK is far more significant than the President’s criticism.
He further stated: “If you take President Trump at his word, he claimed during that state visit that when Britain and America collaborate, it represents the greatest partnership in the history of humanity.
“He truly values the partnership between Britain and America, which is why we secured the first deal, which was the best deal, according to the President’s own words.
Therefore, the collaboration between Britain and America is of immense importance to the President. It holds emotional and economic significance, which is why we have achieved so many successes; the partnership between the Prime Minister and him may not be a conventional friendship, but it is certainly a relationship that benefits both nations.
In other parts of his interview, Mr. Kyle cautioned pro-EU Labour MPs and ministers that Britain would not be rejoining the EU.
There are increasing reports that Sir may consider re-entering the EU’s protective customs union, despite having established post-Brexit trade agreements with the US, Japan, Australia, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
However, Kyle stated: “We would never take any action that would jeopardize the trade agreements we have in place. We have never discussed rejoining the Customs Union.”
