Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State on Monday stormed out of the premises of the Court of Appeal in Abuja while proceedings in the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leadership dispute were still underway.

Earlier during the sitting, the camp of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, secured victory in the first appeal decided by the appellate court.

The Court of Appeal on Monday upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court, which stopped the National Convention, dismissing the appeal filed by the faction of the party led by Taminu Turaki.

In its ruling, the appellate court also awarded a cost of N2 million against the appellants, Turaki and others.

Party members as well as supporters from the various factions were present at the court.
