PAUL SCHOLES’ feud with Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is showing no signs of going away – after the Old Trafford legend hit back with a cheeky request on social media.

The former midfielder, 51, ruthlessly mocked the World Cup winner ahead of facing arch-rivals Manchester City.

Scholes, speaking on The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast, claimed that Martinez going up against Erling Haaland .

But the centre-back ended up having the last laugh in Michael Carrick’s first showdown in caretaker charge of United.

And Martinez, 28, fired back at Scholes after he was made aware of his comments.

The Argentinian, who when he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament last year, said: “Honestly, he can say whatever he wants.

“I told him already, if he wants to say something to me, he can come wherever he wants. To my house, wherever. I don’t care.

“And I think for me, I respect the relations when they want to help the club because everyone can talk on the television.

“But when you sit here face to face, no one says anything in your face.

“So for me, I don’t really care what they say. I just put the focus on my performance, the performance of the team and I will give everything to this club until my last day.”

But Scholes is desperate to have the final word and sensationally appeared to show a willingness to accept Martinez’s offer to hold talks.

The ex-England man cheekily gave his drinks order when he took to Instagram Stories .

Scholes wrote: “Someone’s had a good game, was really happy for you… Tea, no sugar please.”

Martinez kept Premier League top scorer Haaland quiet during the Manchester derby.

The ex-Ajax man will next be in action for when they head to table-topping Arsenal next week.
