Emotional Farewell: LaLiga Star Sheds Tears Leaving Betis After 14 Years to Aid in Avoiding Financial Crisis

PABLO GARCIA was in floods of tears after leaving boyhood club Real Betis on deadline day.

The 20-year-old joined Racing Santander despite featuring in all three of ‘ LaLiga games so far this term.

Garcia, who joined his hometown club at the age of six, even scored a late winner at last week.

Amid LaLiga’s strict financial rules, however, Betis made the difficult decision to sell the academy product to Racing Santander.

In a video circulating on social media, Garcia can be seen driving away from Betis for a final time alongside his mother.

Both can be seen in floods of tears during the heart-wrenching video as Garcia waved goodbye to gathered fans.

The left winger’s exit enabled Betis to bring back his fellow academy graduate while complying with LaLiga financial rules.

Former midfielder Ceballos, 30, returns following nine years at , during which he spent two seasons on loan with the Gunners.

Many fans expressed their frustration with the situation on social media.

One wrote on Reddit: “All this just to sign Ceballos? That’s kinda grim”.

Garcia made 33 first team appearances for Betis in total, scoring three times.

The Under-21 international could be in line to make his Racing Santander debut against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

He will then return to face his former club in December.
