The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has established an appeal panel in preparation for the gubernatorial primary election in Osun State.
The PDP announced that the panel will address appeals arising from the primary election with the objective of resolving disputes.
A notice from the National Organizing Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan, appointed the acting National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki, as the Chairman of the panel, with Taofeek Arapaja serving as Secretary and 22 additional members.
The notice states: “The NWC of our esteemed party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), @OfficialPDPNig has designated the following individuals as members of the Osun State Governorship Appeal Panel to review appeals stemming from the conduct of the Governorship Primary Election for the forthcoming 2026 Governorship Election in the State.”
“The appeal process is set to take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Bauchi Governors Lodge, Tatari Ali House, located behind the ECOWAS Secretariat in Asokoro District, Abuja.”
Additional members of the panel include: “Dr. Daniel Ambrose Woyengikuro, Hamza Akuyan Koshe, Ihediwa Richard Nnabugwu, Isa Abubakar, Okechukwu Obiechina Daniel, Theophilus Daka Shan, Ini Ememobong, and Aribisala Adewale Idowu.
Other members are Bara’u Shafi’I, Ogbu Anthonia Chinenyenwa, Emmanuel Ogidi, Kamorudeen Toyese Ajisafe, Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, Francis Orogu, Ali Obasi Odefa, Umar Babangida, Obasi Elebe, Mark Dogara Ogbole, Nuhu Bajoga, Sharrif Abdullahi, Ojo Michael Oke, and Onyia Ejiofor.
Emmanuel Ekpe will act as the Administrative Secretary, while Suleiman Usman will also serve as Administrative Secretary.
“In executing this task, the panel is expected to adhere strictly to the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended), the Electoral Guidelines for Party Primaries, and the Electoral Act of 2022,” the notice concluded.
