Former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Nwanosike has described as a political risk the decision of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to support President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 elections.

In a recent interview with journalists, Nwanosike, as captured in a viral video, said the Rivers people are now benefiting from the “political risk”.

He pointed out that the president has, since he assumed office in May 2023, approved the appointments of several indigenes of the state.

He claimed that all eligible voters in Rivers State will vote for the president’s re-election in 2027.

He said, “There is no other way to say thank you to a man who has done so much for Rivers State.

“Wike saw our future and decided to take a political risk by supporting an APC presidential candidate in 2023.

“Even before Tinubu spent up to three years in the office, he had fulfilled parts of the promises he made to Rivers people.

“In 2027, we are not doing political parties; we are all voting for President Tinubu”.
