Nasarawa United players have been rewarded with a cash gift of N6 million for their 4-1 win over Rivers United.

The Solid Miners got N1 million each for the goal scored in the encounter by the state governor Abdullahi Sule.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Kwanta Yakubu, added a cash gift of N2 million to the players after the game on Monday.

Jofrank Istifanus, Ngei Oluka-Efor, Abubakar Abdullahi and Chimezie Victor were on target for Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium.

Taiwo Abdulrafiu scored the consolation for Rivers United in the game.

Nasarawa United moved to third position on the league table following the win.
