Nasarawa United head coach, Mbwas Mangut has reflected on his team’s 2-1 defeat to Remo Stars, DAILY POST reports.
The Solid Miners fell 2-1 to the defending champions at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Sunday.
The visitors were reduced to 10-men when Umar Ada was sent off in the 38th minute.
Stanley Joseph opened scoring for Remo Stars three minutes after the hour mark.
Teenage substitute, Suleiman Dauda restored parity for Nasarawa United seven minutes from time.
Michael Ibe however scored the winning goal for Remo Stars late in the game.
Mangut saluted his players for their effort in the game.
“I am not really disappointed because we played almost the entire game with a man down after a first-half red card to our attacker, pulled a leveler, before conceding defeat at the stroke of regulation time,” Mangut told the club’s media after the game.
“I give credit to my boys for their bravery and resilience.”
Nasarawa United maintained third position on the league table with 37 points.
