A NON-league footballer launched into an Eric Cantona-style attack on rival fans who allegedly abused his mum — sparking a police investigation.

In a video, the Bilston Town player is seen brawling with fans from Droylsden after an FA Vase clash, which Droylsden won 2-0 on Saturday.

The player, wearing number 15, fights with several fans before the brawl is broken up.

Meanwhile, a second video showed a Droylsden coach being pursued across the pitch by ­Bilston fans.

He then appears to hit one with a punch.

The incidents are now being investigated by and officials from the hosts, ­Bilston Town.

A West Mids Police spokesperson said: “We’re investigating after a violent disorder at Bilston Town Football Club on Queen Street yesterday.

“We were called to reports of people being attacked at around 5pm.

“No arrests have yet been made.”
