This incident marked the breaking point for the band, which canceled their Rock en Seine festival performance and did not play together again until this past July.
Noel commented at the time: “He was swinging this guitar around and nearly took my face off with it.
“It ended up on the floor, and I put it out of its misery.”
The guitar, which has since been restored, was one of 400 rare instruments, music memorabilia, and artwork auctioned online by Propstore on Thursday.
Other items included a guitar that sold for £107,100 and a pair of sunglasses that fetched £75,600.
Oasis has announced the replacement for guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs after he stepped away from the band’s tour for cancer treatment.
The Manchester rockers have enlisted Mike Moore from Liam’s solo band for upcoming gigs in Asia and Australia.
A source informed the Mirror : “Mike Moore has been performing with Liam since 2017, so he is familiar with many of the Oasis songs from the solo performances.
“It’s not a permanent position in the band, and everyone is hoping for Bonehead’s swift recovery, but it’s a great opportunity for Mike, and he is excited to take the stage.”
Moore boasts an impressive portfolio, having contributed to records by Baxter Dury, Duffy, Trampolene, James Arthur, and Peter Doherty.
Bonehead updated fans via social media that he has been responding well to treatment for cancer after being diagnosed at the beginning of 2025 .
