Nigeria’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has said the country now possesses the capacity to deliver world-class defense and security solutions, commending indigenous innovation driven by the private sector.
Air Marshal Aneke made the remarks on Saturday after a high-level visit to the facilities of EIB Group in Kuje and Idu, Abuja, where he hailed the company’s chairman, Dr. Bright Echefu, for building one of Nigeria’s most advanced security and technology hubs.
According to the Air Chief, the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Nigerian Air Force and local technology firms in order to enhance national defense capabilities.
“This visit has exposed us to capabilities that can significantly support the Nigerian Air Force,” Air Marshal Aneke said.
“We plan to return for deeper engagements to explore areas of collaboration and technology integration,” he said.
In his response, Echefu, who personally received the Air Chief alongside senior management officials, said his team had positioned itself as a major player in Nigeria’s defense, intelligence, and innovation ecosystem, reaffirming the firm’s commitment to supporting national security through homegrown solutions.
