The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Shiroro Local Government has suspended its Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Auta, from the party with immediate effect over alleged anti-party activities.

Announcing the suspension during a press conference, ADC Shiroro Local Government chairman, Hon. Tanko Galadima, listed serious allegations against Auta, including issuing fraudulent party membership cards and extortion.

Galadima claimed that the embattled assistant publicity secretary engaged in these practices without registering the individuals involved in the official ward register.

Other allegations, he disclosed, include misrepresenting himself as the current chairman of the party, organising fake meetings, and causing division within the party ranks.

He explained that Auta’s actions have harmed the party’s reputation in the council.

According to him, the decision to suspend Auta was supported by the 25 chairmen of ADC in the state, who unanimously backed the state chairman, Hassan Musa.

Against this background, a letter signed by 15 members of the Egwa Ward Executive requested the ADC state chairman to set up an investigative committee to examine Auta’s actions, which allegedly violate the party’s constitution, particularly Article 22.

Galadima further noted that the ADC leadership in the state remains committed to upholding the integrity of the party and is dedicated to fairness and transparency in addressing the issue.
