In July of last year, Mr. Farage secured his Clacton seat with a majority of 8,405 votes.

He reported £20,299.80 in campaign spending on official documents, which is just below the £20,660.72 limit.

However, former staff member Richard Everett has now publicly alleged that there were undeclared expenses.

These include the rental of two vans equipped with Reform advertising boards and the hiring of an armored vehicle, which was utilized in a rally at Clacton Pier shortly before the election.

Mr. Everett also claimed that there was undisclosed spending on media, banners, signs, t-shirts, and a Reform-themed bar in the campaign office.

The ex-staffer stated he has provided documents to the Metropolitan Police that substantiate the alleged expenditures.

Mr. Farage has firmly rejected the allegations against him.

He stated that Mr. Everett was dismissed from Reform due to inappropriate behavior.

According to electoral regulations, all candidates are required to declare their expenses and retain copies of any receipts exceeding £20.

Failure to comply can result in criminal charges.

Anna Turley, Chair of the Labour Party, demanded that Mr. Farage “urgently address serious questions regarding whether he violated the law and misled the public while campaigning for a parliamentary seat.”

She stated: “Our parliamentary democracy depends on individuals following the rules so that all candidates can be fairly assessed by the public.

“He must be transparent and present all evidence to demonstrate that he has not compromised our democracy by breaking the rules.

“Failure to do so will only raise further questions about what he may be concealing.”

Tory Chair Kevin Hollinrake remarked: “We all have a responsibility to adhere to the rules to ensure that our elections remain free and fair.

“Clearly, there must now be a thorough investigation by the Electoral Commission to ascertain the facts and determine whether Farage and the Reform Party have complied with the law.”
