The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has approved the appointments of 18 Area Council administrators and their aides. This followed their nominations by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The approval was announced by the Speaker of the House, Danladi Jatau, during plenary session on Tuesday. The nominees were confirmed after appearing for screening before the Assembly.
He also congratulated the newly confirmed administrators on their appointments and encouraged them to discharge their duties with integrity and dedication.
This approval ended months of leadership vacuum at the local council level.
Jatau said the appointment was necessary for effective grassroots governance and urged the newly approved nominees to be committed and transparent in the service of the state.
Jatau also directed the Clerk of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to communicate the resolution of the House to the governor for immediate implementation.
