The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has advised its personnel to refrain from engaging in political activities, emphasizing the importance of loyalty and professionalism in their duties.
Air Vice Marshal Usman Abdullahi, the Air Officer Commanding of the Special Operations Command in Bauchi, delivered this message during the annual 10-kilometer walk and jog event organized by the Nigerian Air Force in 2025.
He cautioned that no personnel should partake in activities that could compromise the values and ethics of the military profession.
“You must remain apolitical. Avoid involvement in any political activities or anything that contradicts our military calling,” Abdullahi stated.
“I encourage you to stay loyal to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,” he added.
The AOC highlighted that the NAF prioritizes the physical and mental fitness of its personnel, noting that the exercise was intended to foster teamwork, alertness, and overall well-being.
