A MUSICIAN who was allegedly stabbed to death has been pictured for the first time.

Police were called to Moss Side in at around 11pm on Friday following reports of an assault.

Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man in his 30s was pronounced dead on May 8.

The victim has been identified as Brown who is a musician under the alias StanaMan.

An 18-year-old has been arrested by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of murder.

The man has remained in custody for questioning as the into the stabbing continues.

Forensic specialists were pictured at the scene on Raby Street, with a tent pitched up inside the cordon.

Detective Superintendent Toby Facey said: “This was a shocking act of violence, and our thoughts remain with the victim and his family at this incredibly difficult time.

“They continue to be supported by our specialist officers.

“I would like to reassure the community that we believe this was a targeted attack and poses no wider risk to the public.

“We understand this is a deeply concerning incident, and we will have extra patrols in the area. I encourage anyone with concerns or queries to please speak with our teams.

“Scenes remain in place and our officers will work throughout the day to conduct their investigation.”
