IT perhaps wouldn’t be the first port of call for a young fashion fan.

But one woman has insisted is the perfect place to shop for Gen Zs, after finding a stunning there.

Ropo took to TikTok to share a video of herself trying on the £34 skirt – a tartan number that “brings effortless style to your everyday looks”, according to M&S.

“HOLD UP when did M&S get cool?” she wrote over the top of the video.

“Is this skirt not giving All Saints mixed with Weekday?

“Or have I just entered my mid 20s and now I like M&S?”

While the skirt is marketed as a midi one, Ropo modelled it as more of a maxi – wearing it on her waist and pairing it with a little white vest top.

And people were quick to comment on her video, with one writing: “Saw a TikTok that said they’ve got the old head buyer running things now.

“So that’s why their stuff has been so fire lately!!”

“This is the skirt I’m wearing for Olivia Dean lol, already decided!” another insisted.

“I love M&S clothes and I’m 21,” a third said.

“It’s so cute!”

“Stop because I saw this ad and almost bought this too,” someone else said.

“Wait, you influenced me,” another added.

The skirt comes in sizes from a 6 to a 24, and in petite, regular or tall lengths.

It also has “added stretch for easy movement”, as well as “an asymmetric yoke seam and ruched detailing on the elasticated waist for a flattering and stylish finish”, M&S said.

And the positive reviews kept on coming on the Marks and Spencer website.

“Gives a vibe,” one wrote, referring to The Traitors host.

“Good with a chunky jumper and stompy boots.”

“Perfect for work and day-to-day,” a third commented.
