JUSTICE chiefs have admitted they are losing more than 16 laptops and phones every month.
Figures released by ’s MoJ show in just nine months they lost 91 mobiles, 59 laptops and five other electronic devices.

As well as the cost of the expensive devices there is a huge security risk as the Justice department covers Prisons, probation and .
MoJ laptops and mobile phones would potentially contain valuable information for underworld figures and other crooks.
The devices were all recorded as missing between 5 July 2024 and 29 April 2025, when was Justice Secretary.
Officials said that each loss has to be investigated and that any loss had to be reported immediately.
Earlier this year the Public Accounts Committee issued a a scathing report on the MoJ that revealed a cyber attack had given hackers access to sensitive data.
Details of the level of loss was revealed in a Parliamentary written answer to a question from Tory MP for Huntingdon, Ben Obese-Jecty.
MoJ minister Jake Richards said: “All laptops and mobile phones are encrypted and protected to National Cyber Security Centre standards.
“The Department has mandatory reporting procedures for lost or stolen items, and incidents are investigated in line with security policy.”
