A MIDLIFE make-up artist has shared her clever tricks for achieving a lifted look through simple adjustments in eye and brow makeup placement.

Carina, who is passionate about empowering women in their prime, walked her 12.5k TikTok followers through a on her page, ‘primalwoman_’.

Carina explained that the key to achieving a lifted appearance lies in how you apply and , and this will avoid you having “to go down the injectable route.”;

She began by using a matte mid-tone , brushing it across the eyelid and extending it higher than usual to create a semi-circle shape that lifts the eye area.

Next, she applied a light, shimmery eyeshadow to the centre of the eyelid to brighten and enhance the look.

Rather than using heavy , Carina opted for a matte dark brown eyeshadow applied with a push brush along the lash line.

She gently flicked the liner outward toward the edge of the brow to create definition and lift.

For brows, she used a micro pencil to mimic natural hairs, focusing on light strokes and emphasising the arch, while ensuring the tail of the brow kicked outward for a lifted effect.

To brighten under the eyes, Carina applied a lighter to the inner corners and extended it upwards toward the hairline, blending it with a fan brush for a seamless finish.

“There’s no harsh edges and if you need to go back in and you feel you want more just go back in,”; she explains.

Carina also recommended mixing bronzer with a light-reflecting serum for a natural wash of colour that enhances the lifted look.

For blusher, she suggested combining liquid blush with a and applying it to the highest points of the cheeks to push the colour upwards.

Finally, Carina shared her lip technique, focusing on the centre of the lips with a and avoiding heavy liner application to maintain balance between the eyes and lips.

Carina’s video has gained 120.5k views and 89 comments after just one day of sharing it.

Many couldn’t believe how much makeup could make a difference, with one writing: “That’s is unbelievable the difference just with make up!”;

To which Carina replied: “I know it’s nuts! Who needs ?”;
