MANCHESTER UNITED are hopeful that Amad will return for their first fixture after the international break against Tottenham.
The 24-year-old winger has been sidelined since the start of the season with a “niggle” he sustained on the eve of the opening defeat to Hull City.

Amad was not anywhere near fit enough to play in ’s last game at Fulham on September 20 but he is on track to return against Tottenham next Saturday.
The Ivory Coast international uploaded a picture onto his Instagram account from his last Old Trafford appearance against Nottingham Forest in May, accompanied by an impatient emoji and an hour glass that hinted at an imminent return.
Amad played in four of United’s six pre-season games after his involvement in Ivory Coast’s run to the knockout stage.
United suffered multiple key injuries in the first month of the campaign, with Luke Shaw and Benjamin Sesko absent for matches.
Sesko has missed the fourth successive Slovenia squad get-together and it is unclear whether he will be available against Spurs.
The 23-year-old has been troubled by a shin injury that he was managing last season. Sesko aggravated it when he was shoved off the pitch in the 3-2 victory over Liverpool on May 3.
With Sesko and Marcus Rashford both currently receiving treatment, Amad’s return would be well-timed for the visit of Tottenham.
Forwards Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have scored two goals apiece this term while Shea Lacey struck on his full debut against Brighton. Rashford is yet to get off the mark.
