Man Utd Triumphs 5-2 Over Ipswich: Fernandes Shines with Stunning Hat-Trick as Carrick's Team Bounces Back from Early Setback

BRUNO FERNANDES bagged an incredible hat-trick to inspire Manchester United to a thumping 5-2 win over Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Old Trafford was stunned midway through the first half as Abdul Fatawu skinned Luke Shaw and crossed for Leif Davis to rifle home off the crossbar.

But United skipper Fernandes settled the nerves after running through on goal and supplying a cool finish just before the interval.

Harry Maguire’s deflected strike went in off Jacob Greaves to make it 2-1 before Fernandes scored their third from the spot.

And it was 4-1 minutes later as Fernandes tapped home to complete his treble after Bryan Mbeumo’s blocked shot.

The Red Devils wrapped up a crushing win as Fernandes turned provider and played in Mbeumo – who lobbed Ipswich keeper Kjell Scherpen.

Ipswich scored a late consolation through Chuba Akpom.
