A GRAN got ‘magic tweakments’ because she felt ‘invisible’ ahead of turning 60 – and claims people now mistake her and her daughter for sisters.
Pamela Dale decided to embark on a self-care journey two years ago, aged 57, due to feeling ‘lost’ in life.
Size 24 Pamela, who weighed 18st, was told she was on the verge of , so lost a whopping eight stone naturally in 18 months.
After shrinking down to svelte size 10 and weighing just 10st, the 59-year-old teacher then plumped for a number of ‘‘ to restore volume in her face and tighten her jawline.
The mum-of-three says she’s splashed out up to £2,000 on aesthetic treatments including lip and cheek filler, , a non-surgical neck lift, a liquid , and skin boosters.
Pamela says the cosmetic work done at her daughter Fay Darby’s clinic, Fay Louise Aesthetics, has ‘rolled back the years’ and left some convinced she’s had a sneaky .
When Pamela leaves the house with 36-year-old daughter Fay, she claims nail technicians and shop assistants mistake the pair for sisters thanks to the age-reversing ‘tweakments’.
Now, Pamela credits Fay for helping her ‘step into the best version of herself’, insisting she feels more confident than ever.
Pamela, from Holmfirth, , said: “My side profile has just changed completely, some of my students think I’m in my 40s.
“That never happened before the treatments, I feel so much more confident.
“People really do mistake me as being in my 40s now.
“When Fay and I go out together sometimes, some people think I’m her sister.
“When we’ve got our nails done, the lady has asked if we’re sisters or we’re in Home Bargains and the cashier said it too.
“It happens quite often.
“I just love the way that I look – much younger but still natural.
“She’s literally transformed me.
“It’s not about turning back time, I don’t want to be 21 again, it’s about stepping into the best version of myself.”
Around two years ago, Pamela began getting a number of cosmetic treatments at her daughter’s aesthetics clinic after .
Pamela said: “This is a journey I’ve been on over the last two years.
“It started with me trying to practise self-care and find my voice again.
“I felt a bit lost, I’d put a lot of weight on.
“I’ve lost eight stone in the last 18 months through calorie-counting.
“I just felt so unhealthy, I was told I was on the verge of diabetes.
“You get to the point in life where you just stop looking after yourself, before deciding ‘no my life isn’t over’.
“As you get older, you almost become invisible to a certain degree, I felt like my life was on auto-pilot.
“It didn’t start with me necessarily wanting to change the outside of myself, it was more about looking in.
“It felt like it was my time to give back to myself, I didn’t like the person looking back at me in the mirror.
“Turning 60 was in the back of my mind.
“I wanted the outside of myself to show the brave, resilient woman that I am.
“It started off with an insecurity about my lips because they lose volume as you get older, I’d not done any aesthetics at all before.”
After Faye shared her mum’s transformation online, they were inundated with comments praising her look – while some accused Pamela of having surgery to help achieve her new look.
One wrote: “To me this looks like either a different person or a deep plane face and neck lift for sure.”
Another commented : “If there’s been no , that is miraculous.”
A third wrote: “Wow your mum looks unreal and 20 years younger!”
A fourth added: “That is not the same person or she has had surgery.
“You cannot improve the neck like these photos without surgery.”
In response, Pamela replied: “I haven’t had a facelift.
“I think Fay is like a magician because she literally has rolled back the years on my face.”
