A MAN who was struck by lightning twice asserts that he can now anticipate future storms before they are reported by weather forecasts.

He was outside his home, hosting a pool party, when dark clouds began to form.
The father advised his friends and family to go indoors, and while he was closing the garage door, he was struck by lightning.
Danny was rushed to the hospital, where he regained consciousness with no recollection of the incident.
It took him three years to fully recover his memory.
However, in 2023, Danny was struck again, this time while inside his house.
This time, he did not need medical treatment, but the event altered him in a profound way.
The experience granted him a distinct ability—he can now sense an approaching storm.
His wife, Lisa, shared with The Daily Mail: “He can feel the storm a few days in advance. He tells me, ‘There’s a storm coming.’ He can determine whether it will be a significant or minor storm.”
Danny explained that he can sense a storm one or two days before it arrives.
While experts suggest that lightning can temporarily alter the body's polarity, Danny believes his change is “permanent.”
Lightning bolts typically carry 300 million volts and can heat the air to 30,000°C, and they can strike up to ten miles from a thunderstorm.
This follows the story of an angler who survived a shocking lightning strike—on Friday the 13th.
Steve Barrett was left with a hole in his shoulder, broken ribs, severe burns, and bruising when a 300-million-volt bolt struck his carbon-fiber rod, snapping it in two.
He was thrown backward by the force, while a nearby tree was shattered, damaging van windows, puncturing a dinghy, and creating a hole in a tent.
Gardener Steve, who was knocked unconscious and required hospitalization, stated: “I’m lucky to be alive. I thought I was done for, and the worst part is I didn’t even catch a carp.”
“I felt a wave of heat travel down my left side, leaving me completely paralyzed, as if I had suffered a severe injury. Then I couldn't feel my body at all. I felt as though I was floating, with my head elevated. I thought that was the end for me. I passed out, but woke up a few minutes later in excruciating pain from the heat and from where I had landed on my rods, which caused my broken ribs.”
Last year, a woman flatlined for 17 minutes after being struck by lightning but managed to survive the terrifying experience.
