The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State chapter, has expressed delight with the peaceful conduct of primary elections into state and federal constituencies in the state.
Following the conduct of the elections, Muazu Salisu Danyaro, Abdullahi Mamuda Wappah, and Ester Ashuvelli Dawaki emerged victorious in Basawa, Zaria Kewaye, and Chikun/Kabiru state and federal constituencies, respectively.
The PDP state chairman, Edward Percy Masha, in a statement, said, “We commend the delegates for their wise choice of young and vibrant flag bearers and applaud the electoral committee for demonstrating transparency throughout the process.”
The party also saluted the eight aspirants (four each for the House of Assembly and House of Representatives, respectively) who participated in the elections for their sportsmanship and peaceful conduct, saying that their exemplary behaviour will undoubtedly contribute to the party’s resounding victory in the August 16, 2025 election.
“To the entire PDP family and supporters, we express our gratitude for your unwavering support and trust in our leadership,” the statement explained.
He urged party members to join them in enthusiastically promoting their young and versatile candidates and defending their anticipated victory in the three constituencies.
Masha stated, “In the coming days, we will announce the party’s campaign council and commence campaigns in earnest.
“As we have consistently promised, the PDP under my leadership will ensure that your votes count and are counted in all elections.”
