Kaduna PDP condemns bandits attacks on communities, calls for immediate action

Published on June 07, 2025 at 03:57 PM

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kaduna State has expressed concern over the news of recent bandit attacks in Kagara and Ugom communities of Giwa and Kajuru LGAs, respectively, resulting in tragic loss of lives, injuries to many, and rustling of cattle.

Edward Percy Masha, the state chairman of the party, in a statement on Saturday, said that reports indicate two valued community members, Salisu Aminu and Stephen Alhassan, lost their lives in “the senseless attacks on the two communities”;.

“The party strongly condemned the state and federal government’s failure to constantly ensure the security and welfare of the people and called on the Uba Sani-led APC administration in Kaduna State to immediately review its approach to protecting lives and property, awake the dormant Ministry of Internal Security & Home Affairs to its responsibility and enhance collaboration with federal forces,”; the statement lamented.

He urged relevant state agencies like SEMA and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to provide urgent care and support to the survivors.

Masha assured that the PDP is committed to holding the inept APC-led government in Kaduna State accountable for the safety of all citizens and communities and appealed to the people of Kaduna State to remain patient as the party is working towards ushering in a new dawn in 2027.

The PDP then extended its condolences to the families and communities of the deceased and prayed for the quick recovery of those injured.
