JUST B's Bain has become the first idol group member of Korean nationality to officially come out as gay.
On April 22 (local time), Bain came out on stage during the Los Angeles concert of JUST B’s world tour “JUST ODD,” telling fans, “I am proud to be part of the LGBT community,”; before singing Lady Gaga's “Born This Way.”
The following day, Bain took to his Instagram to personally share his thoughts on coming out. He wrote:
I want to share something real with you. I’m proud to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community — as a gay person.
And my queen Lady Gaga showed me that being different is beautiful.
To anyone out there who’s part of the LGBTQ+ community, or still figuring it out — this is for you.
You are seen, you are loved, and you were born this way.ðŸ³ï¸â€ðŸŒˆ
JUST B's agency BLUEDOT Entertainment remarked, “Since this pertains to Bain’s personal life and sexual identity, it is difficult for us to provide a separate statement.”
JUST B is a six-member boy group that debuted in June 2021, and they have since released songs including “DAMAGE,” “TICK TOCK,” and “RE=LOAD.”
