INEOS desperately attempted to shut down Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s latest Sky News interview following his shock remarks about immigration.

“Because I couldn’t quite believe he used that word. And he said, ‘well, yeah, we’ve been colonised by immigrants.’

“He definitely did not choose that word by accident. And he hasn’t retracted that word subsequently either.

“When I said ‘colonised’ as if to, I wasn’t quite sure I’d heard properly, he said, ‘yeah, we’re colonised.’

“And then he said, ‘look at the population of the UK, it was 58million in 2020, now it’s up to 70million.’ And that number is wrong.

“At the same point that he is then using that statistic, someone from INEOS is trying to shut down the interview, saying, ‘no no, come on, you’ve had enough, it’s over.'”
