JENNIFER Lawrence is poised to make her return to the blockbuster film franchise The Hunger Games.

J-Law portrayed the lead character Katniss Everdeen in the original film released in 2012, alongside Josh, who played Peeta Mellark.
Both actors will feature in the upcoming prequel movie The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping.
The film is anticipated to be released next November and serves as a follow-up to 2023’s prequel The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes, which starred Rachel Zegler.

The narrative will focus on a young Haymitch, originally portrayed by and now to be played by Joseph Zada.
Haymitch later becomes the mentor for Katniss and Peeta in the Hunger Games.
The franchise is set in a dystopian future where contestants are compelled to kill each other for entertainment.

Francis Lawrence is set to direct the movie, which is adapted from Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel.
