“He’s got a stress-fracture in his foot, that’s all I can tell you.
“It’s a big blow because he’s been hugely important to us since the start of the season, he’s played a big part in the team.
“Look, we’ve had a few injuries, but this is a big blow to us.
“We’re in close contact with , so we’ll see how that works as we go along, and as we get more decisions from the specialists.”

Grealish has impressed since moving to Merseyside
Grealish has impressed on Merseyside, scoring twice but assisting six times in 20 league appearances.
It is the most he has contributed in a single season since his second at City in 2022-23 .
Speaking in October, Grealish said he still had ambitions to play for his country again.
The former man said: “First of all, you want to play well for your club, because that’s what we do every week.
“But, obviously, you want to be in the England squad. But I do understand it [not making the squad].
“, and I understand that there’s a lot of competition, especially in that left-wing spot at the moment.
“Rashy’s [Marcus Rashford] flying, [Eberechi] Eze, Anthony Gordon, you know, everyone’s doing so well.
“I can’t really complain, it is what it is. Hopefully, I can just keep performing and keep influencing games.”
The loss of a key attacker also leaves the Toffees in a sticky situation and Moyes admitted that it might force their hand for the rest of the January transfer window.
He said: “That’ll add to our thinking.
“Getting them [new players] is a different story.
“Is there anything out there that we could possibly consider?
“At the moment, we’re just awaiting until we get the assessment back from the specialists, then we’ll know more.”
Grealish kicked off the season in a red hot manner after his belated Etihad exit, assisting twice in consecutive starts but things have slowed down since.
When fit he has remained central to Moyes’ plans.
